Today Katie and I decided who was going to do what task on each day. Every day one of us is going to have a job. Whether it is research or up loading files on to our website. We didn't get to do much on the actual project, except plan out a basic idea of what and when we wanted to do stuff. We decided that we are going to have lots of pictures, maybe some games, a song, and a video. I think that we are going to take the list that Ms. Tucker gave us and split it up. Then after we get all the basic information, we will add extra stuff to give the website a little more spice. I looked up some basic information about Rhizobia, because honestly, I had no idea what it even was. Basically it helps the roots of plants and the nitrogen. Tonight I believe that we are just going to get to know our bacteria. And tomarrow we should start with the actual facts and website.

Today Katie and I fixed our timeline and started researching information about the categories that we have on the list. Katie and I rediscussed who is going to do what each night, and I put it all on a calander. Which I plan to post on the website soon. We talked about the bacteria a little bit more. I think we both have a basic understanding about what it is and what it does. We should start working alot more on the website by tomarrow I'm guessing. We have started decorating the site a little bit, by adding color and talking about how rad rhizobia’s are. I think that tonight we are going to start researching more information to put up on the site tomorrow, and maybe add some pictures. We are going to go on different websites and find out more about where the name Rhizobia originated from and such. Hopefully we will have enough together to have something to start with for the website.

I have found that trying to find information on Rhizobia is very hard, expecially trying to find interesting facts. I went on mostly all of the websites on the school library page, but whenever i typed in "Rhizobia" it always said it had no information about it. Which isn't that great of news, because now we are going to have to rely on books and the dreaded google...DUN DUN DUN! Well, other than that, I have been trying to get more key information on Rhizobia, where ever I can that is. Katie and I looked at different websites tonight, trying to find out more about this lovely bacteria. It was kind of stressful, but I think if we start looking in books we'll be able to get the most important stuff that we need. Over all, tonight was a pretty laid back night for the project, but starting tomarrow, it will get much more difficult. Because then we are scheduled to find out harder to find details.

Today Katie and I worked on our project during class. Which really helped us move along in our calander of things to do. We made up some extra pages like celebrity supporters, just stuff that made the site more fun. And found out whether Rhizobia is gram positive, or gram negative. We looked on many different website on google, and we figure our information about it is correct. Because we went on many websites and they all said the same thing. We also changed our "skin" which made everything orange, which looks amazing if I do say so myself. This project has been going pretty smooth for us lately. I think our assignment for it this weekend will be harder though. Over all, I think our Rad Rhizobia is going great. It has been very hard, since we cant use the school sources, we have to double and triple check all of our work and information to make sure that it's right. Well, Katie and I are maybe going to make some videos and games, take some pictures. This project has been going pretty easy so far, I just dont understand much of the vocabulary yet. Thankfully, during class Katie started on a Rhizobia Vocabulary list. Which should help me and the website visitors.

Today I had a study session about Biology, and he helped me understand my bacteria more. So I went back to the All About Rhizobia page and made it more understandable, well for me at least. I'll have Katie look over it and make sure it's not that confusing. Well I in the About Rhizobia i explained more about the Gram Staining Test. Instead of just saying what the outcomes will look like I made an example about when you go to the doctor to see if you have strep throat. I also explained more about what Rhizobia actually does. And added a picture of the Nitrogen Cycle to show how if Rhizobia didnt change the Nitrogen for the plants, how the whole cycle would be messed up. Today on the calander I was suppost to look up information about the Rhizobia's habbitat. But I think that I already covered it in the All About Rhizobia. It basically just lives in the dirt, but I guess I'll make another page to clarify it more. Katie is suppost to find up more information about the Rhizobia's structure, which sounds very difficult to me. But I'll help her with it tonight. This tutoring session really helped me get to know more about Rhizobia and bacteria in general. I think my new understanding of it will make the website more understandable and ultimately better.

Today I just went through the website and added a little more information to make it more understandable. Katie and I also went through the whole website and made sure everything was correct and made sense. It was just basically just a day where we make sure everything is in order, and add any extra facts if we want to. I believe that Katie made some more pictures and got a little more facts about Rhizobia, and added more vocabulary to make sure that our readers can fully take in all the information that we are trying to teach them.

So today Katie and I were just suppost to find out more random facts and find out some recent events that scientists are learning about Rhizobia, for example, what they are using it for, are they creating anything with it and stuff like that. Katie told me earlier on in the project, that since she couldnt find much information about Rhizobia on the school website, but on Gale that they had lots of links for current events. So I think that later tonight that I am going to go on Gale Group and get some interesting current events on Rhizobia and put them on the site. Maybe explain a little bit about why I put this on there, and what its significance is to our environment.

Today on our Time Line of Fun, we're suppost to just look for more pictures and make the website more kid friendly. So today all that I did was go on google and look up pictures of Rhizobia. This project has been going so well, I am now very glad that it is something portable like a website. Because since I have been sick the past couple days, I dont have to worry about what I missed on our project, all I have to do is go on our timeline and look up the information. I think this whole website is going amazing. Katie and I are on track, following everything on the timeline. And adding new and more interesting stuff as we go along. I think by the time this baby is due, it is going to be the best website about bacteria ever! It amazes me how much we've gotten done, expecially how little information we knew from the start, and how very little is already on the internet. Katie and I have put alot of effort in to this project and I just hope that when the time comes to turn it in, that everyone will be able to see that.

Tonight I was suppost to find out some of the problems with Rhizobia but I couldn't find the time to do that because I had alot of make up work to do. So I will find out that information tomarrow night. The project is going very well for Katie and I. We have been putting in alot of effort and I think that it shows when you look at our website. Tomarrow night I am not quite sure what I am suppost to be doing for the project, I'll check on the calander of fun later. I dont think that I'll have alot of homework tomarrow, so I think that I'll be able to handle two days of website work. It should turn out good. I'll be sure to tell Katie tomarrrow that I wasnt able to do it. I think she'll be okay with it since I'll do it tomarrow.

Today I was suppost to find out about Rhizobias reproduction. It was actaully quite easy for me. Because when I was doing the All About Rhizobia page I actually put up all that information without knowing it. The whole Nitrogen Cycle shows how Rhizobia is used and how it is made for the plants. It is amazing about how if one thing is out of place in a cycle that complex, how everything else will just fall apart. And how if we didn't have Rhizobia, we wouldnt have plants or anything. Well, we might, but they wouldnt be as green and as alive as they would be if they had Rhizobia. Without the nitrogen that Rhizoiba supplies, the plants are not as easily stable. They can not live as long and they are very weak. We need rhizobia to live basically. I mean plants and trees give off oxygen which gives us air to breathe. And if the plants were all dying because they didnt have enough nitrogen in the form that they like it, then we would all die. So I think that without Rhizobia, you would be dead. So everyone should support the "Rad Rhizobia" website because we can teach you information about your life that you didnt even know about! :)

Today was a clean up day. We were just suppost to go through and find spelling mistakes and just basically make sure the site is good to go for Sunday! I think this project went very well. It looks great and we deffinitally put alot of effort into it. I just hope that we can present it well and show everyone else how much work we did on this project. I really had a great time doing this. It was a great project and was alot of fun!

For Saturday, we didnt really have any plans for the project. Just get one last look at it and make sure we were both happy about it. I know I am, and I think that Katie is too.
